Dynamic Forms – Launched

Today marks the day we have been striving towards for the past few months, the launch of our Dynamic Forms solution for the Oracle Cerner EHR.

We developed Dynamic Forms to reduce patient risk and streamline clinical processes. The secondary purpose was to reduce the overheads and cost to an organisation through reduction in paper and scanning.

Dynamic Forms is a deeply embedded bolt-on that was designed to replace all paper forms for a patient’s journey and prevent unnecessary trips to care settings where possible.

Using the powerful build tools, Dynamic Forms allows any type of form to be digitised and available from within the EHR. Once built, the form can be available to everyone or specific groups of people and completed for a given patient. Once complete, the form will be part of the patient’s clinical record and will sit with their other clinical documentation.

Dynamic Forms doesn’t just digitise, it also creates a PDF copy of the form that can be sent to other systems and health information exchanges. The solution allows capturing of multiple data types including signatures. This has allowed us to create our digital eConsent platform for Dynamic Forms.

Due to its deeply embedded nature, Dynamic Forms is interoperable with all other parts of the EHR including rules, alerts and reporting. This also means we don’t need to keep the data captured purely within the form. If you need to set a particular data item to populate somewhere else in the patients record, Dynamic Forms can handle that.

Imagine the use case of a patient being taken into theatres only to discover that they haven’t signed a consent form. Dynamic Forms removes this barrier and many more. Rules can be set so that on the day of the operation, the EHR can check if patient consent has been provided and if not, alert anyone that opens that patient record. This proactive alerting can be used across the platform to reduce risk and remove delays in patient treatment.

Dynamic Forms hasn’t just been designed to work within Powerchart. In fact, it can work on any device with a modern web browser using its unique kiosk feature. This allows forms to be completed including the capture of signatures when on the move.

The overhead and risk of paper records being manually filled in, transported with a patient and then sent off to be scanned into the patient’s record is high. Dynamic forms removes these and ensures a streamlined approach to form management.
